I stayed here for a weekend with my family. The farmhouse has a lot of history and the new owners have persevered the history of the house while still adding their own personalities. It has the natural hardwood floors and the brick you see is all from when the house was originally built. The rooms are all decorated very nicely with a conversation piece in each room. However, each room does not have private closets. It does have a rack in the corner for you to hang things. A dresser. And bench/chest for you to put your suitcase on. I didn't foresee this being issue for my needs. There's so much to do while staying in this beautiful house. It is only about an hour away from Portland and the Coast for an easy day trip. We didn't get a chance to head west towards the coast, but we did go into Portland/Vancouver to visit other family. The roads were very easy to navigate to get from the countryside to the city. If you are going for a wine tasting weekend there are many that are also less than an hour away. We when went we were able to visit Saffron Fields and still make it home in time for dinner! Honestly, you don't even need to leave the house/town to enjoy a weekend getaway. There's so much to do in town. And will really let you enjoy the slow paced lifestyle. The farmhouse is three blocks away from downtown Carlton. You can easily get to the Carlton Bakery for breakfast treats, the Barrel47 for pub-style food, and Cuve for some well made French food. There are also many tasting rooms on Main Street such as Twelve which has some surprisingly nice pinots. If you need a break from Wine Country - there was a pub/bar being built on Main Street about block away from the house! With all there is to do - Don't be afraid to stay in and enjoy the house itself and the kind and eccentric neighborhood!

Perfect wine country getaway. My family and I stayed for 4 nights. Felt like I was in the country but yet so close to bigger cities. Was able to visit family in Portland then return to the house same day. Was able to walk into downtown Carlton, did plenty of wine tasting, ate at some great local restaurants, shopped at several boutiques, even picked up some groceries at the local market. The farmhouse is charming!!!!! Nicely decorated, makes it feel like its your own. Nice dining area w/windows that let in lots of light. Bedrooms are very comfortable and private. Love the wrap around porch. Very happy with the property and will definitely stay again!!!!

This is our second stay at Megan's Hazelwood Haven. We were just as pleased as after our first trip. A wonderfully located, clean, comfortable home with everything you'd need. Our daughter loves the playground at the park (which sort of seems like the a really large front yard to the home). We love how close it is to our favorite wineries.

Uncorked was a great holiday home for us. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was even nice table settings for our Christmas dinner. Our grown kids loved the media room and wine cave. The beds and bed linens were luxurious. In all a wonderful stay!

Megan is wonderful! We had a small problem with a shower head and they fixed it within 24 hours. The views from the living room are beautiful. Love to watch the morning sunrises. House has everything you need. Great place to stay and experience wine country.

Megan was very welcoming and made sure we had all the resources/information handy for touring wine country. She even had a bottle of Pinot waiting for us!

What a lovely bungalow - would love to go back and stay there at the next opportunity!

This home is beautiful. It's very clean, well kept and modern. It's a very short (2 minute) drive into Dundee -- and close to a number of wineries. The hot tub is an awesome feature since the town has little night life. It was very fun to come back and relax in the hot tub with a glass of wine. We stayed as 2 couples but this home could work for families too. It's a beautiful property.

My two friends and I had a lovely stay at Hazelwood Haven. We each had our own lovely room. The beds were incredibly comfortable with lovely bedding. We cooked and enjoyed the kitchen and grill, listened to music, and hung out in the hot tub. It was perfect. We would most certainly come again.

We arrived late in the evening in the pouring rain. We were given clear instructions on where to park and where to find the key - it was perfect. We were greeted with hazelnuts and yummy cheese and crackers. The unit was pristine. We cooked all meals in the house and were pleasantly surprised every time we found "the thing" we needed in the kitchen (very well-stocked!). We had plenty of towels and enjoyed the hot tub. The TV came in handy for college football. Overall, just an impeccable stay.

Heather came to greet us when we arrived and had cheese and crackers as a gift. The cottage was perfect! The beds were so comfortable, we forgot we weren't in our own beds sleeping at home! The location was perfect as well. We were within walking distance to everything we needed. Would absolutely stay here again!
