Enjoy breakfast in the fully-stocked, remodeled kitchen. Kick back and relax in the open living space with hardwood floors, a personal piano, and a record player! Live it up on the back patio and have an outdoor barbeque in the summer evenings. You won't want to miss out on making those craft cocktails. Enjoy a soothing bath in the claw foot tub, and retreat to bed with luxurious bedding. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time at Ruth's Cottage. The attention to detail when designing this rental makes it a truly special spot to serve as home while exploring Oregon's Wine Country.
Ruth's Cottage offers a large queen bedroom with a vintage four-poster bed and a private en-suite bathroom. The home's TV lounge room offers a Roku streaming device and attached half bathroom. An additional double sofa sleeper is available to host up to two more guests. Best for children or one adult. When the Cottage is booked for four guests, we make up the sofa bed and provide additional towels, and amenities for all to enjoy.
The Cottage comes equipped with a washer and dryer that is available for guest use. We welcome guests traveling with up to two small dogs. The extremely private backyard is a lovely space to retreat to on those warm summer evenings. Now offering a new Weber propane BBQ and patio set in the summer of 2021!
Family items (baby gate, high chair, pack 'n play), yoga mats, air mattresses, and outdoor games (bocce ball, croquet) are available to rent upon request.

If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the lovely city of Carlton, this is the place to stay. Less than a five minute walk from downtown for some good eats and fantastic wine tasting. The house itself is charming and relaxing, and the responses to any question or need are super quick. Highly recommend.

The cottage is beautiful and charming. Located two blocks away from Main Street, it was a perfect location to explore Willamette Valley wine. I would absolutely stay here again! We really enjoyed exploring the art and memorabilia around the cottage.

It is a perfect little house near everything in Carlton. It is walking distance of any restaurant, bakery and even few wineries. The house was well equipped, everything we could need for our stay. It also had such a good taste decoration. I absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it.

My partner and I had a great stay in Carlton at the cottage. The location is excellent--walking distance to everything in town, including restaurants and wineries. The cottage itself is lovely; bed comfortable, and the decor is very quaint.

What a gem! Beautiful old house under a gorgeous oak tree. Two blocks from restaurants, wine tasting, and a couple of shops. In the heart of the wine country. Well-stocked kitchen, records and a piano to play, Nest thermostat, and great central heat. Very homey, quiet, clean, and comfortable!

This house has such a fun vibe! We loved drinking the wine we had just bought while listening to the records. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the town was quaint as could be. Be sure to check out K&M and try their Syrah! And dont miss the Carlton Bakery. You can easily walk and enjoy the town - but, be sure to grocery shop before you arrive!

A fantastic place to stay in Carlton to explore the surrounding wineries and vistas. Great location in town and within walking distance of bars, tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops. A lovely old farmhouse that still has a lot of original charm. Quiet, friendly neighborhood with a nice yard to enjoy with wine, a book or even a game of bocce. Comfortable house with a lot of thoughtful touches, including a well-appointed kitchen.

We loved our stay at Ruths Cottage and would stay there again. Very well decorated, comfortable bed and nice bathroom linens. The kitchen and baths were equipped with everything we needed. We even had a bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival. The town of Carlton is very small but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Several restaurants and tasting rooms and a wonderful bakery. Management contacted us upon our booking and was quick to respond to our questions. This is an observation but there is not a large grocery store in town so any major shopping may need to be done before arriving. There is a very small market in town but we did not check it out

The house has a great location, perfect to access food and wine in Carlton. You are within walking distance of all Carlton has to offer. The place was roomy and perfect for my wife and 14-month daughter. The team was also able to provide a pack-n-play for a reasonable fee, which was very convenient. Note that some of the restaurants in Carlton are closed some days, but you are a quick drive to McMinnville.

This was the perfect spot. It is such a beautifully designed space that really paid homage to the craftsmanship of the home. We stayed during the heatwave and were very comfortable given the hot conditions. Easy walking distance to wineries and dining. We love Carlton and cant wait to spend more time at Ruths cottage when we visit again.

- Dog Fee of $100 per dog. Maximum of 2 dogs.
- At the time of booking, we require a deposit of 50% of the reservation total. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
- Cancelation Period: 30 days prior to arrival. If you cancel before 30 days, the total cost will be refunded to you (with the exception of the reservation fee). If the reservation is canceled within that time period, it is non-refundable.

Carlton is a cute, wine country town, located in the Yamhill Carlton AVA. If you like the small town feel, you will love it here.
