We welcome back The Carlton Farmhouse, a lovely, historic home centrally located in Oregon's "Great Little Town" of Carlton: a charming small town located in the middle of Wine Country, just minutes from world-class wineries, restaurants, and other exciting attractions.
This beautifully renovated farmhouse has been brought back to its original grandeur with all the amenities and luxuries of modern living. Located in a charming neighborhood on a shaded corner lot, guests can enjoy a short stroll to the downtown corridor. Very spacious and well-appointed, this home is the perfect spot for your wine country getaway.
The Carlton Farmhouse is in partnership with Moffett Vineyards where you will enjoy added benefits of being a guest both during your stay and at the tasting room!
An open, spacious living room with flat screen TV and dining area with seating for eight, feature picture windows with lots of natural lighting. This home offers a comfortable retreat for relaxation with family and friends after a day of wine tasting. The expansive fully-equipped kitchen with new appliances is stocked with everything you'll need for preparing homemade meals from the bounty of the area. The main level features a full, luxurious bathroom with separate standing shower and deep soaking tub for two. Laundry facilities are also available.
Upstairs, the rustic, shabby chic master bedroom features shiplap walls ceilings and a brand new king bed. Two additional upstairs guest bedrooms offer new queen size beds, a cozy reading chair and open closet for storage. The guest bathroom features a claw foot bath tub with shower, lots of lighting, locally crafted soap and plush quality towels.
The stunning outdoor space features a large farm table and new BBQ grill with for al fresco dining, a covered front porch perfect for morning coffee, fruit trees, and beautiful landscaping.
While situated in wine country, this home also offers easy access to the metropolis of Portland, the panoramic Columbia River Gorge, and the breathtaking Oregon Coast. With its fantastic location and impressive amenities, you'll be delighted to call the Carlton Farmhouse home while exploring the Willamette Valley.

For this home, we can only accommodate (1) dog, under 25 lbs with a non-refundable payment of $100 per dog fee.

Carlton Farmhouse was a great place for a weekend away. It is in close walking distance to the wineries in Carlton and we especially enjoyed the Carlton Bakery, two short blocks away. Everything in the house was exactly as represented. We plan to stay here again when we next come back!

Fantastic modern farmhouse for our girls trip! The space feels like Chip and Joanna Gaines decorated it. Beds are very comfortable and the outdoor seating is beautiful. Walkable to many tasting rooms and coffee shops. Great loop around the local baseball field for morning walks as well. Very close to many wineries and would highly recommend.

I WAS LEERY ABOUT STAYING IN A SMALL TOWN BECAUSE I LIKE THE AMENITIES THAT MCMINNVILLE HAD TO OFFER FROM MY LAST TRIP. NOW, I WILL NEVER STAY ANYWHERE ELSE. CARLTON HAS MY HEART & SO DOES THIS FARMHOUSE.
ONLINE & IN-PERSON ALL I COULD THINK WAS, "JOANNA GAINES OWNS THIS HOME." FLOOR TO CEILING SHIPLAP & WHITE WALLS. FRONT PORCH ROCKING CHAIRS. FREE-STANDING SOAKING TUB & CHANDELIERS GALORE. A GIANT OUTDOOR FARM TABLE - PICTURE A PILE OF GRILLED CHICKEN & A COUPLE DECKS OF CARDS WITH A FRESHLY POPPED BOTTLE OF PINOT. THE CHARM OF THIS HOMES' HISTORY WAS STILL INTACT. BY FAR, MY FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT WAS THE REFINISHED, ORIGINAL WOOD FLOORS. I LIED, MY FAV PART WAS PROBABLY THE WINE FRIDGES (YES, THAT'S PLURAL). MOST OF ALL, I LOVE HOW THIS HOME INVITED YOU TO BE TOGETHER. THE FLOORPLAN ISN'T WHAT DID THAT, THE AURA IS & THE GIANT DINING TABLE & COUCH DIDN'T HURT EITHER. THE HOMEOWNERS PUT THEIR HEART INTO REDOING THIS HOME & THAT'S WHAT I FELT STAYING THERE.
THREE BEDROOMS SLEPT 6 OF US EASILY, WITH PLENTY OF ROOM TO SPARE. THE PULL-OUT SOFA IS LOCATED ON THE LANDING FOR THE STAIRS & HAS A CURTAIN THAT CAN BE PULLED TO SEPARATE IT FROM THE OPEN AREA, BASICALLY MAKING THIS A 4TH BEDROOM. TWO BATHROOMS BETWEEN THE 7 OF US WORKED OUT PERFECTLY - NO ONE WAS EVER WAITING TO SHOWER OR POTTY.
YOU COULD EASILY SLIP OUT OF THE BACK DOOR, WALK DOWN AN ALLEY & BE IN THE HEART OF CARLTON. RESTAURANTS, LITTLE SHOPS & LOTS OF FRESH AIR. YOU COULD FIND WINE PRETTY MUCH ANYWHERE, SO IT WASN'T HARD TO MAKE US HAPPY

I stayed here for a weekend with my family. The farmhouse has a lot of history and the new owners have persevered the history of the house while still adding their own personalities. It has the natural hardwood floors and the brick you see is all from when the house was originally built. The rooms are all decorated very nicely with a conversation piece in each room. However, each room does not have private closets. It does have a rack in the corner for you to hang things. A dresser. And bench/chest for you to put your suitcase on. I didn't foresee this being issue for my needs.
There's so much to do while staying in this beautiful house. It is only about an hour away from Portland and the Coast for an easy day trip. We didn't get a chance to head west towards the coast, but we did go into Portland/Vancouver to visit other family. The roads were very easy to navigate to get from the countryside to the city. If you are going for a wine tasting weekend there are many that are also less than an hour away. We when went we were able to visit Saffron Fields and still make it home in time for dinner!
Honestly, you don't even need to leave the house/town to enjoy a weekend getaway. There's so much to do in town. And will really let you enjoy the slow paced lifestyle. The farmhouse is three blocks away from downtown Carlton. You can easily get to the Carlton Bakery for breakfast treats, the Barrel47 for pub-style food, and Cuve for some well made French food. There are also many tasting rooms on Main Street such as Twelve which has some surprisingly nice pinots. If you need a break from Wine Country - there was a pub/bar being built on Main Street about block away from the house! With all there is to do - Don't be afraid to stay in and enjoy the house itself and the kind and eccentric neighborhood!

Perfect wine country getaway. My family and I stayed for 4 nights. Felt like I was in the country but yet so close to bigger cities. Was able to visit family in Portland then return to the house same day. Was able to walk into downtown Carlton, did plenty of wine tasting, ate at some great local restaurants, shopped at several boutiques, even picked up some groceries at the local market. The farmhouse is charming!!!!! Nicely decorated, makes it feel like its your own. Nice dining area w/windows that let in lots of light. Bedrooms are very comfortable and private. Love the wrap around porch. Very happy with the property and will definitely stay again!!!!
