Welcome to Ruth’s Cottage, a charming retreat in the heart of Carlton, Oregon. This delightful home blends the comfort and charm of a vintage cottage with the thoughtful touches of a luxury hotel, all set in one of the most walkable and inviting small towns in Oregon Wine Country.
Our mission is to offer high quality hospitality to Willamette Valley visitors while coordinating with the best local partners to maximize guest experiences through customizable concierge services and hand selected amenities. We specialize in luxury short term lodging options with the highest standards of cleanliness and attention to detail so that you feel completely at home during your stay.

Start your morning in the remodeled, fully stocked kitchen, where you can brew your favorite coffee and prepare a leisurely breakfast. The open living space features hardwood floors, a personal piano, and a record player that invites you to slow down and unwind.
In the evenings, head out to the private back patio for a summer barbecue or craft cocktails under the stars. For moments of quiet relaxation, soak in the elegant claw foot tub, then retreat to your cozy bed adorned with luxurious linens. Every corner of Ruth’s Cottage has been designed with care to make you feel at home while celebrating the history and warmth of Oregon Wine Country.
The primary bedroom features a beautiful vintage four poster queen bed and a private ensuite bathroom. A separate TV lounge room includes a Roku streaming device and a convenient half bathroom. A double sofa sleeper is also available, ideal for children or one adult. When booked for four guests, the sofa bed is made up prior to arrival and additional towels and amenities are provided.A washer and dryer are available for guest use, making longer stays convenient and comfortable.
Ruth’s Cottage welcomes up to two small dogs to join you on your stay. The private backyard offers a lovely setting to relax, dine, or play on warm Oregon evenings.
Family items including baby gates, high chairs, pack n plays, yoga mats, air mattresses, and outdoor games such as bocce ball and croquet are available to rent upon request.
Lifestyle Properties ensures that all homes are aerated, deep cleaned, and sanitized prior to your arrival. Our team follows all CDC and WHO guidelines regarding the use of PPE and cleaning equipment. You will also enjoy a fully contactless self check in upon arrival.

Excellent location in Carlton. We we able to walk to bakery, restaurants, convenience store, wine tastings, and taverns. The house has stylish furnishings, with Boze speaker for listing to music, piano, large TV. Spacious. Outside patio is private as well as the yard. Kitchen is well equipped.

We stayed in Ruths Cottage for our anniversary and it was perfect. The space had a great mix of classic architecture and modern touches. The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was really comfortable (with great black out shades.) Its only a block to town where there is wine and spirit tasting, coffee, a bakery and fantastic restaurants. We will be back!

Cute cottage right in Carlton. Lots of wineries, restaurants and shops in this tiny town. Great place for a wine country weekend.

- Additional guest fee of $50/person/night for over two (2)
- Dog Fee of $100 per dog. Maximum of 2 dogs.
- At the time of booking, we require a deposit of 50% of the reservation total. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
- Cancelation Period: 30 days prior to arrival. If you cancel before 30 days, the total cost will be refunded to you (with the exception of the reservation fee). If the reservation is canceled within that time period, it is non-refundable.
