In the evenings, head out to the private back patio for a summer barbecue or craft cocktails under the stars. For moments of quiet relaxation, soak in the elegant claw foot tub, then retreat to your cozy bed adorned with luxurious linens. Every corner of Ruth’s Cottage has been designed with care to make you feel at home while celebrating the history and warmth of Oregon Wine Country.
The primary bedroom features a beautiful vintage four poster queen bed and a private ensuite bathroom. A separate TV lounge room includes a Roku streaming device and a convenient half bathroom. A double sofa sleeper is also available, ideal for children or one adult. When booked for four guests, the sofa bed is made up prior to arrival and additional towels and amenities are provided.A washer and dryer are available for guest use, making longer stays convenient and comfortable.
Ruth’s Cottage welcomes up to two small dogs to join you on your stay. The private backyard offers a lovely setting to relax, dine, or play on warm Oregon evenings.
Family items including baby gates, high chairs, pack n plays, yoga mats, air mattresses, and outdoor games such as bocce ball and croquet are available to rent upon request.
Lifestyle Properties ensures that all homes are aerated, deep cleaned, and sanitized prior to your arrival. Our team follows all CDC and WHO guidelines regarding the use of PPE and cleaning equipment. You will also enjoy a fully contactless self check in upon arrival.

This is our 3rd stay in the area over the past few years but the first time in Carlton. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the towels/linens were quality and clean. Wi-fi worked great for streaming. Check-in was seamless. The location in Carlton is great - very walkable to numerous restaurants and wine tasting rooms (we loved Flaneur). We went to the Carlton Bakery several mornings for coffee, amazing pastries, and hot breakfast options. Nearest grocery store we found was in McMinnville - only about 10 min away. We took one day trip to Tillamook and the coast (about 2 hours each way) and we spent the rest exploring various wineries and nearby towns (Dundee and Newberg are favorites). We cant seem to stay away from the Willamette Valley for too long and are sure to be back again in the next couple years!

Within walking distance of the quaint Main Street in Carlton, this home served as the epicenter for our winery experiences across the Willamette Valley. If you are a couple that loves antiques, clawed footed cast iron bathtubs, wood floors, and a beautiful yard, this place is for you. It is well-appointed, clean, and roomy. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for our wedding weekend and it was absolutely perfect! So cozy and beautifully decorated we wished it was our home. The small touches for our dog including food and water bowls, treat, dog towels, bags and furniture covers so our pup could enjoy the furniture as well. This all really showed another level of care for guests . Along with a welcome bottle of wine and some snacks. The whole house was very clean and well kept. Highly recommend!

Ruth's cottage was scrupulously clean and bright and welcoming. Everything worked perfectly. Every door opened and closed without a squeak or clatter, every faucet turned and didn't drip, every window that was designed to opened, all-be-it the 100 year old windows required careful opening. We really enjoyed our stay of 4 days. The spaciousness of the property was relaxing and the ancient oak tree shading the house was just the most charming calming influence. The remodeling effects in the kitchen and bathrooms are excellent.

Carlton is a great place to stay when exploring the wineries of Willamette Valley and this little cottage is perfectly situated walking distance to the restaurants, bars, and bakery. Host is very attentive and house was very clean. You'll love the details down to the bath soap made by a local shop in town!

My stay here was perfect. It has a large backyard, while not fully fenced, was still fine for my dog. Parking is a bit tricky but its not anything to worry about. Very walkable area, easy to get to the shops and restaurants downtown. It was quiet, and relaxing and Id recommend this property to anyone looking to visit Carlton!

The free tasting at domaine Divi I was awesome and included a small cheese platter. Love the town of Carlton. We walked over for dinner every night as well as lunches and tasting rooms. Thats a major plus for us and they were all excellent!

Cute little home in a convenient location to Carlton restaurants, park, wineries, bakery, and grocery. Nice to have a half bath as well as a full bath. An easy trip back to McMinnville. The home was stocked with everything you need.

- Dog Fee of $100 per dog. Maximum of 2 dogs.
- At the time of booking, we require a deposit of 50% of the reservation total. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
- Cancelation Period: 30 days prior to arrival. If you cancel before 30 days, the total cost will be refunded to you (with the exception of the reservation fee). If the reservation is canceled within that time period, it is non-refundable.
