The open living space features hardwood floors, a personal piano, and a record player that invites you to slow down and unwind.
In the evenings, head out to the private back patio for a summer barbecue or craft cocktails under the stars. For moments of quiet relaxation, soak in the elegant claw foot tub, then retreat to your cozy bed adorned with luxurious linens. Every corner of Ruth’s Cottage has been designed with care to make you feel at home while celebrating the history and warmth of Oregon Wine Country.
The primary bedroom features a beautiful vintage four poster queen bed and a private ensuite bathroom. A separate TV lounge room includes a Roku streaming device and a convenient half bathroom. A double sofa sleeper is also available, ideal for children or one adult. When booked for four guests, the sofa bed is made up prior to arrival and additional towels and amenities are provided.A washer and dryer are available for guest use, making longer stays convenient and comfortable.
Ruth’s Cottage welcomes up to two small dogs to join you on your stay. The private backyard offers a lovely setting to relax, dine, or play on warm Oregon evenings.
Family items including baby gates, high chairs, pack n plays, yoga mats, air mattresses, and outdoor games such as bocce ball and croquet are available to rent upon request.
Lifestyle Properties ensures that all homes are aerated, deep cleaned, and sanitized prior to your arrival. Our team follows all CDC and WHO guidelines regarding the use of PPE and cleaning equipment. You will also enjoy a fully contactless self check in upon arrival.

Great little cottage in the tiny town of Carlton! Great restaurants and wine tasting steps away from the door! Destination Willamette was super attentive and responded quickly to all inquiries before and during our stay. The Pinot Car pick up from our doorstep was a great perk, as well. Ruths Cottage was clean and well-stocked with nice linens. Grocery stores are about 10-15 minutes away. Great place to start to experience all the Willamette Valley has to offer.

We would highly recommend Lifestyle Properties for booking accommodations. Ruths Cottage was the perfect place for us to spend our week in Oregon. The home was quaint and charming, with modern updates to the kitchen and bathroom. We felt safe and comfortable during our stay. The location was close to town which was very convenient. We walked to the bakery for our morning scones and croissants. All in all, we had a wonderful time in Oregon and Ruths Cottage was the perfect place to call home during our stay!

Appreciate how clean and comfortable it is and that there is no carpet. Very comfortable and good lighting for a rental (most are lacking). Its in a great area for walking to dining and to downtown town wineries and is close to our wine clubs. Very clean, comfortable, nicely appointed, well priced, easy booking process. Only downside is the busy road which is noisy at times but only if sitting outside (its very quiet inside). And we knew this from our last visit but will continue to book it because we really like the property and the location.

Beautiful, restored home and property. We stayed 3 days at this property while exploring the wine region. The home was very comfortable and beautifully renovated. The property is stunning with beautiful mature plants and a huge old oak. The home is close to town where we were able to walk to the local wineries and especially enjoyed Carlton bakery where we ate every morning! We would definitely stay here again.

Ruth's Cottage is as advertised - a charming farmhouse which has plenty of vintage touches AND is comfortable, cozy, and with all the amenities one needs. And its location can't be beat - just a short walk to downtown Carlton, an easy drive to McMinnville, and convenient access to everything that Willamette Valley wine country has to offer. I can't wait to return to Ruth's Cottage!

Wonderful property! Exactly as described and pictured. Everything was perfect. House had every amenity needed. Loved the welcome gift. Perfect location to walk to the town center and even to where our friends were staying. Carlton is a lovely town close to many wineries and McMinnville which has anything you may need. Definitely try the local coffee, The Blind Pig and The Horse Raddish. We will be back and would stay at this property again.

This is our second time staying at Ruth's Cottage. We love the location, the house is clean, spacious with all the amenities needed. (restaurants and wineries nearby, in fact walking distance!). Upon arrival, there was a welcome doggy basket full of fresh towels, dog treats and bags. The house is light, airy and comfortable bedding too. We love the open kitchen and dine in breakfast nook as well as the private and charming backyard.

We stayed in this home to visit the Willamette Valley wine country. Carlton is a small town and a walk over. McMinnville is a short drive over. Everything was a short drive away. The home was equipped with everything we needed. The home is beautiful and the outdoor space was too, but we were unable to use it since it was raining throughout our entire stay.

- Dog Fee of $100 per dog. Maximum of 2 dogs.
- At the time of booking, we require a deposit of 50% of the reservation total. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
- Cancelation Period: 30 days prior to arrival. If you cancel before 30 days, the total cost will be refunded to you (with the exception of the reservation fee). If the reservation is canceled within that time period, it is non-refundable.
